Weapon(s): the 80 cannons normally do: he has a sword, but it’s primarily ceremonial. He has a flint stone gun during battles, but nothing fancy.

Personality: hot blooded, can’t sit still for very long and prefers to been listen to than to listen himself. He rules his crew though but fair. In private he’s a gentleman and his company is very much appreciated.
History: didn’t do to well in school and joined the navy in the age of eleven. Since than he worked his way up and has sailed almost every sea. During the second Anglo-Dutch war he sailed up the Thames, destroyed the English Navy at their own base and brought the British flag ship the royal Charles back home as a souvenir. So you’d better not piss him off.

Region: from Norway down to Greece.

Ship: typical Dutch Fluyt ship named Op hoop van zegen. Therefore the ship has much cargo space and needs only a dozen to sail it. This particular ship is sailed by 25 men. It’s a fast ship and 40 metres long and six wide.

Job: smuggler. Though he has a Letter of marque from the Dutch republic for English and Spanish ships, his main occupation is smuggling through entire Europe. Occasionally he attacks Spanish or English vessels, but most warships are far too big to attack.
Specialty: trade routes, navigation, trade.
Weapon(s): four flit-stone pistols around his waist, a carbine on his leg and carries around a saber. This may seem very heavy armed, but he doesn’t decide to be a privateer today when we wakes up in the morning.
Appearance: 1.85 metres, blond hair and pale blue eyes. He has grown a ring beard to look somewhat older and more respectable, but with no success by the way. In clothing in resembles Hector Barbossa. (yes, from Pirates of the Carribean)
Personality: a true opportunist and profit goes before moral issues. He’s a hard negotiator and knows where to buy and where to sell. True his crew his kind hearted, soft even, and he’s well-aware that he must praise the lord they’re so loyal to him. He likes drinking with the crew and sailing in general.
History: he comes from a wealthy family, but he wasn’t cut out for school. When he was able to read, write and speak enough French for his social status he father give up. He joined the navy but had difficulty dealing with authority. He proved to be an excellent sailor but switched quickly to the commerce. He learned the trade of merchants on the go and speaks a few words in a wide range of European languages, just enough for his line of work. After being attacked by an English privateer, he swore he would become one to get even and now he is.
